Project
National and International Volunteer Camp
Description
About this project
Action Nepal has been organizing National and International Volunteer Camps since 2018 in collaboration with various national and international partners, including DanChurchAid, Kathmandu University, and community campuses across Nepal. To date, more than 20 volunteer camp batches have been successfully conducted in different project areas of Action Nepal.
The camps provide opportunities for students, teachers, youth leaders, and community representatives from Nepal and Denmark to visit project locations, engage with local communities, and participate in meaningful cultural and educational exchanges. Participants are accommodated with host families, allowing them to experience local lifestyles, traditions, and daily practices while fostering mutual understanding and long-term relationships.
During their stay, volunteers actively participate in community-based activities, educational programs, environmental initiatives, and social development efforts. The homestay component further strengthens intercultural learning and promotes solidarity between local communities and international visitors.
Since 2023, Action Nepal has also represented Nepal in Danish schools and youth groups under the DCA-led Go Global Initiative, facilitating cross-cultural learning, interaction, knowledge sharing, and global citizenship education among young people from both countries.
